Dr. Hendi is among the few dermatologic surgeons who have exclusively dedicated their practice to skin cancer treatment and reconstructive surgery. He has performed over 20,000 Mohs cases since opening his practice in Chevy Chase using the Mohs technique, a procedure considered the gold standard in treating skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. Dr. Hendi has the distinction of being the only Mohs surgeon in the DC metropolitan area who treats melanoma with Mohs surgery.

The surgical facility at Ali Hendi, MD, is accredited by Medicare, the state of Maryland, and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Dr. Hendi’s team must rigorously monitor and implement the standard quality measures these agencies demand to advance and promote the highest quality of patient safety and care. The facility achieved a 99.3% satisfaction rate in 2018 and maintains infection and complication rates under 1%.
